In South Central Connecticut there are six bus operators: Milford Transit District, Valley Transit District, Middletown Area Transit, Estuary Transit District and CTTRANSIT. Both Shore Line East and New Haven Line provide rail service in this region. The New Haven Line has a Main Line that runs along the coast and three branch lines which feed into it — the New Canaan, Danbury and Waterbury Branch Lines.
