Connecticut's Shore Line East rail service provides fast and easy transportation between Old Saybrook and New Haven seven days a week with Metro-North New Haven Line connections to destinations west of New Haven. Service is available on weekdays from New London, and free parking is available at all Shore Line East stations (except New London and New Haven).
Shore Line East/New Haven Line Connections
Two daily morning and afternoon Shore Line East express trains travel round-trip from east of New Haven to Bridgeport and Stamford. Other Shore Line East trains can connect you with the New Haven Line for your trip to other points in Connecticut or New York.
New Haven Line
The New Haven Line, operated by Metro-North Railroad, consists of the New Haven Main Line (from New Haven through Greenwich to stations in New York, ending at Grand Central Terminal in New York City) and the New Canaan, Danbury and Waterbury Branch Lines. Service is provided 7 days a week.
